My primary interest is devoted to the questions: Where does motivation come from? Where is its origin? What does committed people possess which makes them different from others? Is such a comparison possible, in principle? By questioning several NGOs, I wanted to find out where the motivation to act politically and in public comes from. Because of the wide variety of different interests and goals of the questioned organizations and people, I expected a rich spectrum of answers full of nuances.
